Welcome to the modernAKIS Role-Play Game! Here, you will find all the materials needed to develop the game, along with detailed instructions and an explanatory video.

The modernAKIS Role-Play Game was designed to promote understanding of knowledge flows and knowledge-transfer among different AKIS actors and to generate innovative proposals in the context of specific (fictitious but data-based) countries. Each player assumes the role of a key agricultural actor, encouraging collaborative discussions to map and recognize the AKIS network. Players are tasked with formulating proposals that best fit the needs of their country and exploring how to implement these ideas effectively.

This game is an excellent tool for building capacity among AKIS groups or other agricultural ecosystem members—whether at local, regional, or national levels. It highlights how knowledge is shared and transferred between agents and reveals the challenges of crafting proposals that meet diverse interests while striving to improve individual circumstances.

What's included in the Game Kit:

Game instructions.
7 role cards: Teams should have at least 7 players. If the group is larger, some roles may be repeated to form a "lobby."
9 different scenarios: Each team will play with one scenario (board), allowing for the game to be adapted to both small and large events.
A development sheet for each scenario, where the results of the exercise are recorded.
Printing suggestions.
