Sticking Barriers

Description

An engaging and collaborative game designed to help participants identify, analyze, and address barriers within the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS). Strengthen connections, foster innovation, and improve agricultural systems through teamwork and shared insights.

In this game, players work together in groups to explore barriers impacting AKIS. Using a set of predefined stickers, participants place them on a board to represent where they believe the barriers exist. Additional "joker" stickers allow teams to add barriers beyond the predefined set, encouraging creativity and deeper analysis.

Each barrier is explained with sticky notes, detailing why it occurs, which actor it affects, and potential solutions. Teams prioritize their findings, present their analysis, and discuss strategies for overcoming the most pressing barriers.

This game sparks collaboration, promotes problem-solving, and fosters a deeper understanding of AKIS. It's ideal for agricultural professionals, policymakers, educators, and anyone invested in improving innovation systems in agriculture. By comparing perspectives and working together, participants gain valuable skills and insights.
