Goal

If people are not working well with each other, this tool helps you explore patters of interaction within a network; and how these patterns can be understood and managed to support engagement and understand/address conflict effectively.

Description

A facilitator introduces the Circle of Coherence diagram, explaining the “vital space”, the four quadrants around it and their connections. Participants identify key actors (themselves, others) and identify where they are within these quadrants. For those in the constructive patterns zone, participants think of strategies to maintain engagement as the project evolves; for those outside, they identify strategies and actions to bring them back leveraging their drivers (inspirations, recognition, safety, shake up). Map these ideas on a flipchart and encourage participants to write specific actions to improve relations!
