Goal

To help farmers or advisors articulate and visualise their long-term innovation goals and the steps needed to achieve them.

Description

The Visionary’s Canvas is a structured reflection tool that guides users through defining their vision, identifying key enablers and barriers, and mapping out strategic actions. It encourages forward-thinking and helps align personal or group ambitions with practical innovation pathways. The canvas can be used to initiate or refine ideas, especially when transitioning from inspiration to planning.

Tips for use:

  • Begin with a short introduction to the concept of visioning and strategic thinking.
  • Use guiding questions to prompt reflection (e.g., “What does success look like in 5 years?”).
  • Encourage sketching or visual mapping to make ideas tangible.
  • Can be combined with tools like SWOT or PESTEL for deeper analysis.
