Group of farmers
One-on-one
To develop kernels of ideas/solutions into formed ideas quickly by following a series of iterations where, at each stage, the team imagines how to “improve” the previous stage.
Identify the challenge/opportunity that the group should try to solve in this workshop.
Give all partners a paper sheet and ask them to divide it in 4 sections.
Ask each partner to write the name of their idea/solution and what it solves at the top.
Ask each participant to draw their idea/solution on the top left quadrant. The drawing should convey the idea/solution without needing an explanation.
Ask participants to pass their paper to the person on their left and develop the idea further by drawing their own version in the next quadrant. If you want to take it further, they can add a phrase highlighting a criticism to the previous idea/solution or explaining why they think the previous idea/solution could struggle to be implemented and/or meet their goal.
Do these 2 more times (until the paper is full).
Pick all the ideas/solutions and organise in the board with the format:
Once all ideas are presented, ask team member to secretly vote by adding a dot on their preferred idea.
Top tip: if you have too many ideas, consider using the Impact Effort Matrix which you can find in this toolbox.
