One-on-one

Goal

To help prioritise which actions to take or which ideas to explore based on their urgency and importance, leading to more effective decision-making, better time management and focus on what truly matters.

Description

Start by identifying the actions or solutions you need to address to tackle a challenge and categorise them into four quadrants:

  • Quadrant 1 (Urgent and Important): Immediate, critical actions that require attention now to avoid consequences—handle these first.

  • Quadrant 2 (Not Urgent but Important): Long-term, strategic actions that contribute to personal or organizational goals—plan and allocate time for these.

  • Quadrant 3 (Urgent but Not Important): Time-sensitive actions that aren't crucial for long-term goals—delegate or minimize these to others.

  • Quadrant 4 (Not Urgent and Not Important): Actions that offer little value or impact—eliminate or avoid these.

This approach ensures a more strategic and focused response to challenges while avoiding distractions.
